Experience
Having fully qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in 2010, Sophie is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). She is a Chartered member and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (BPS), a Clinical Supervisor, and recognised Consultant with Bupa.
Sophie has worked in the field of Clinical Psychology for almost twenty years. She has experience of working with a wide range of emotional and mental health difficulties, across a variety of service settings.
Expertise
A specialist in the assessment and treatment of adults with mental health difficulties, which include depression, anxiety disorders, stress, psychological trauma, loss and bereavement, adjustment difficulties, and burnout, Sophie aims to provide a safe and supportive therapeutic space.
She draws upon a range of psychological models within her work, depending upon the needs of the individual or group, and in-line with evidence-based practice. These include Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness, and interpersonal approaches.
Sophie’s particular interests include employee mental health and well-being, coaching towards personal goals, relational difficulties, debriefing, processing of life experiences, and somatics / movement of the body for healing.
Empathy
In addition to providing psychological assessment, therapy, and debriefing, Sophie offers a psychological service to the employees of businesses to help create a healthier and happier workforce, and a more productive work environment.
